Milestone Guide for Playgroups
These sessions are targeted to specific age groups defined by milestone development. This grouping intentionally facilitates targeted socialization by keeping play focused among children who are at a similar stage. The magic? Grown-ups can relate with fellow caregivers who share the same current experiences and milestones. There are no strict cutoffs—you decide which day is best for your child's development stages.
"First Connections" Baby Playgroup
Tuesdays 9:30am-10:30am
Social meet-up for pre-mobile infants and their grown-ups. It's a relaxed, supportive space designed for you to chat and share experiences with other adults who just get it.
This group is for you if your baby is:
Pre-mobile and not yet crawling.
Working on early milestones like tummy time, rolling, and sitting up.
Learning about the world through sensory play: grasping, seeing, and mouthing.
Communicating with you and the world through babbles, coos, and smiles.
"The Yes Space" Cruiser Playgroup
Tuesdays 9:30am-10:30am
Social meet-up for mobile infants and their grown-ups in a play area designed for you to finally say "yes!" instead of "no, no, no!" It's the perfect spot to connect with other adults who are also in the middle of the non-stop "chase" phase.
This group is for you if your baby is:
On the move: confidently crawling, pulling up to stand, and cruising furniture.
Working on new physical skills like taking their first wobbly steps.
Learning about the world by stacking, filling, and dumping toys.
Finding their voice by pointing and using their first words.
"I Can Do It" Toddler Playgroup
Thursdays 9:30am-10:30am
Social meet-up for confident walkers and their grown-ups. It's a supportive space designed to connect you with other adults who are also navigating the wonderful (and often hilarious) world of newfound independence.
This group is for you if your toddler is:
Actively on the move, running, jumping, and climbing.
Asserting their independence and finding their voice.
Moving from playing alongside others to playing with them.
Starting to engage in simple pretend play.
"Invention Club" Preschool Playgroup
Fridays 9:30am-10:30am
Social meet-up for 3-5 year olds and their grown-ups. We provide the "gizmos, thingamajigs, and whatchamacallits" for their inner engineer. It's a perfect spot to spark their genius and for you to spark conversations with other adults.
This group is for you if your child is:
A curious thinker who is always asking "why?"
A natural builder who enjoys stacking, linking, and constructing.
Learning to solve problems and test how things work.
Practicing focus and seeing an idea through from start to finish.
"Pretend Adventures" Preschool Playgroup
Mondays 9:30am-10:30am
Social meet-up for 3-5 year olds and their grown-ups. We'll get the creativity flowing with a new theme each week. This is your chance to jump into the imaginative play or to stand back and connect with other adults as the story unfolds.
This group is for you if your child is:
Bringing their own creative ideas to life.
Learning to play cooperatively in a group, including sharing and taking turns.
Practicing empathy by imagining another's point of view.
Using their words to negotiate new rules and roles.
